Women Too

Although the world of computing is predominantly male today, women represented between 30 and 50% of the workforce in the 1950s, and in 1986, 37% of computer science students were women.

Based on this observation, this book presents the portrait of six women programmers who have shaped the modern world of computing.
Graphically, each portrait has been reworked with Processing and Glitch, starting from keywords. For example, Ada Lovelace was a mathematician: her portrait was generated using only numbers and mathematical symbols. The code used to generate the portraits accompanies each booklet.
